Murat Selçuk is a Turkish composer and producer based in Los Angeles.

His current projects are upcoming Netflix series 'Dead Boy Detectives' and erotic thriller 'A Date with Deception'.

He is also writing additional music on CW's 'All American', 'All American: Homecoming'.

Growing up in Istanbul, he developed a very eclectic taste and sensibility towards music and films. His love for classical music at an early age led him to study classical clarinet at Istanbul University State Conservatory.  In the same time having influenced by electronic music artists such as Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk etc.  he began to practice his production skills on his first synthesizer as a teenager.

Later on, he shifted gears to France to study composition at Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régionale d’Annecy, where he collaborated with directors from Cinédoc Paris Films and on animation projects from ArtFx Studios, École Pivaut and Gobelins L’école De L’image.

In 2013, he attended University of Southern California’s film scoring program in Los Angeles. There he worked closely with Christopher Young ( Hellraiser, Drag Me To Hell, Spider Man3), Garry Schyman (BioShock, Dante’s Inferno), Bruce Broughton, Jack Smalley  and was personally mentored by James Newton Howard (The Sixth Sense, King Kong, The Village, Maleficent).

Writing for picture gives him the freedom and the expressive domain to combine his love for music with movies.
